THIS was the picture that I've been promising for the last two weeks. It's DONE...

This piccy was supposed to be a simple sketch and got turned into something that ran away from me, a test of my abilities woth pencils and folds and all that jazz...

This is the piccy of Ran (this is a different Ran than the guy, this is actually a girl!) of Groovy Lightweight Fighter Nizer (a mouthful, I know), a mecha series that I want to do some day... after I learn how to draw mecha or get someone to do the designs of the mecha for me. Ran is actually an inspriation spawned from Sharon Apple of Macross Plus fame, my preception of Lacus Clyne before seeing the Gundam SEED series from reading Newtype USA (which was pretty different), and Nami Tamaki's songs.

Actually, I was planning two parts of the series and this Ran is from the second part from the series where she'll take her title as the "Voice of Hope" seriously. In the first part, she has long wavy hair.

I was also trying to draw expressions, and seriously don't know what expression I put on her... I did once but I pretty much forgotten in this point but I know I wanted to show a strong sense of emotion.

What is a "Voice of Hope"? You'll find out one day when I get this series in order.

I will have to draw her counterpart, the "Voice of Reason" someday. Actually I'm planning it right now.

Done in sketchbook paper, with various sizes and hardnesses of pencils (too many to count). Scanned, edited and cleaned in PS 7.
